Hi, it's me.. Christy.
I had a lady call me yesturday and asked if I could to some sort of couch potatoe theme.. So I asked Mac if I could use her recliner idea..
Well now the lady called and said " no never mind, can you find something along the lines of someone just being lazy in bed.. Cause the person the cake is for is an older man who just lies in bed ALL DAY and watches T.V.".. (sigh)

Now what do I do??? Ideas needed thank you!!
cake due this Sat.

How about a bed on top of a sheet cake....make a man's head nestled in several pillows and a quilt on top??

How about making the cake look like a bed, fondant blankets, cookie headboard. You could make a person from fondant, maybe with a teddybear. I'm sure you'll come up with something wonderful!

Thanks good idea.. But the price is set, so no sculpting or stacking involved.. Just an 11x15 sheet cake with BC icing.. BUT I am thinking about throwing in a smaller piece on top just to make a bed.. But then what? lol I am sooooooooo lost on this one..
Think I can pipe a mans head on the bed and cover it from neck down with a piece of fondant.. I always have extra fondant..

Here is a cake srmaxwell just did. You could use this for the bed idea, but make him an old man.

What if you did it from the view point of the persn lying in bed? The cake would have a TV in the background, then you would see the footboard, 2 feet sticking out of blankets, and maybe a hand holding a remote. You could do the cake long-ways and you could free-hand everything. Your message could be on the TV screen.

I hope you can visualize what I'm trying to say. good Luck!!
