My bank is having Customer Appreciation Day on Valentines Day. They were planning to buy cookies from Kroger when I told them I do cookies. (Ihave a Business Account with them) I don't do decorative coookies. Just Choco Chip, Oatmeal raisin, Peanut Butter,Key Lime, etc. I know I can't compete with Kroger prices, but would love to do the cookies for them. I know I will have to charge less than what I usually do, but don't know how low I should go. Does anyone have any idea on how to handle?

Yes,the question is how much do you normally charge and how many do they want to purchase? My rule of thumb inbusiness is to never undercut yourself. Sometimes cutting back and giving a discount is sometimes good for the business, but let them know that you are giving them a discount. I think that they will appreciate you more for that. I hope you get plenty of business!!!

My cookies cost $1.20, because they are each individually wrapped with labels on them These cookies will just be put on platters, so I will charge less. I was thinking maybe 1/2, like .60 cents a cookie. I don't want to undercut myself, but at the same time, I want the business. I just called the bank to ask how many cookies they wanted. She was busy. I am waiting for her return call.

Kandee--
There is a bakery here that charges .75 per cookie. These are lareger cookies--probably a good 4-5 inch, but I do know that they buy pre-made cookie dough so you can definitely promote "homemade".

Thanks for all your responses. The bank decided not to use me this time as it will be an all day affair and they have a small budget. But they are having a Business To Business Get Together next month, with a smaller group of people and they want me to do something for them then. Thanks again
