I make my BC w/ half butter, half crisco and some milk. Can it sit on the counter or do I have to refridgerate it? And if I can leave it out...for how long?
I think I remember saying that if it's covered in fondant than it can be left out for 3 days max....but I could be wrong. But what about if it's not covered?

Courtney, if you use half butter and some milk and you leave it out of te fridge more than a day or so, you risk the icing becoming rancid, depending on how warm you keep your home. As far as being covered with fondant, I don't use it so I can't advise you about that.
