IM A BIT CONFUSED AS TO WHAT TO DO.. BEING A BEGINNER ...
IF MAKING A CAKE THE DAY BEFORE.... DO YOU FREEZE IT?
I HAVE SOME IN THE FREEZER NOW.. WRAPPED IN SARAN WRAP, THEN I WRAPPED IT IN FOIL? BUT, I HAVE THIS FEELING THAT.. OK,I HAND THEM OUT WITH OUT TASTING IT AND WHAT IF THIS... WHAT IF THAT.. LOL!! I GUESS I SHOULD TRY ONE ON MY OWN.. MAYBE THAT WILL EASE MY MIND??
No, you don't have to freeze a cake if your using it the next day. A cake will stay fresh for 7 days. So the day before won't hurt it at all. Some people make their cakes up to 3 days early & just wrap them good & keep them on the counter top.
I freeze a lot of my cakes at least overnight because I feel it makes them, especially the larger ones, easier to handle to get them on the boards etc. But I also bake and ice the same day or the next day too without freezing. You mean to tell me you haven't tasted one of your own cakes yet? WHAT? LOL
What are you waitin for girl? Let's eat cake to put your mind at ease. LOL Really I'm sure they'll be delish but you sure need to have some so you know just what you're product is like. Enjoy, then get them out to your neighbors. They'll love them. Don't be afraid to let them know you're having fun doing it too!
