I froze a batch of gumpaste in November and I am just wondering if it is still usable, it is Wilton mix. I think it said on the directions that came with it that it can be frozen for up to 6 months but I no longer have those.
Does anyone know? or have those directions?
Thanks

I freeze all my leftover Wilton gumpaste scraps. I truly don't think anyone ever eats gumpaste anyway...do they? icon_razz.gif

It thaws really well after a few hours at room temp. Sometimes I add just a touch of shortening to get it back into the kneading consistency. Works great!

Thanks!
I had actually already set it out and it is already thawed, kind of sticky though.
I'll try adding some shortening see if that helps.

if it's sticky, then i'd go the opposite of shortening and add a bit of icing sugar instead...
