I am looking for ideas for a dentist cake. Has anyone done anything for a dentist? I don't want to do just a tooth. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

What about the dental insignia? I am terrified of the dentist-not the person-just the whole situation so I am not much help either!

It's not a cake, but maybe you could get an idea from it anyway. This is a cookie bouquet I made for our dentist. He's great. Instead of Crest toothpaste, my tubes say "Best" because he really is the best dentist we've ever had.

LOL! Thanks. I do lots of cookies, and every time I volunteer to do them for my son's activities as fundraisers, I always kick myself. (Like now for Valentine's Day.) I seem to be missing the "NO" gene. icon_rolleyes.gif

Okay, now, THAT's a cute cake! thumbs_up.gif ge978, I love your avatar!

sofiasmami, I used to joke that I was going to have a t-shirt printed up that said "Sucker" on it. I guess I'm an incurable "yes-girl." But the fundraising committee sure does light up when they see me coming, so I guess I should be happy. {or so I say as I stay up late Feb. 13th packaging cookies..}

How about a tube of toothpaste cake, a toothbrush cake, a floss cake, a big grin cake with all the teeth shining. I don't know just a few ideas. Good luck with it.

I worked for a dentist when I first started doing cakes, and it stumped me too! For his 60th, I made a sheet cake that said "don't let 60 get you down in the mouth"- pretty boring I know... I love the smiling cake posted above - very creative! I will try something like that for his next big day...BTW great cookie bouquet! icon_biggrin.gif

It's funny you posted something about a dentist cake! I have a cake due on St. Patty's Day and they want a combo of a mouth with shamrocks combined. I was thinking of making a mouth and then it look like it's biting down on a shamrock. Make the shamrock out of fondant or something? Don't know if that sparks any ideas?? Good luck!

What???? Awful???? I see nothing about the cake that is AWFUL.
What exactly was she expecting? I think you did a Great Job.
She apparently had a picture of a different cake in her head or something, because I think it's an Awesome Cake!

Did your sister in law say what she didn't like about the cake? I don't see anything wrong with it. I think its really cute...I didn't know those were molds - I thought they were plastic figures. You made them look so real.

Scrolling down, I saw the pic and thought, "Wow! That's beautiful!" and then I read your post and said "Whaa...?!!!" Your SIL obviously can't appreciate good work. If it had been meant for her, take it back and keep the cake for yourself!
