I need a chocolate MMF recipe and any tips you may have. I'm going to use it to make a Curious George figure (rather large) and not to cover a cake.

We are going to Disney at the end of the week and when I get back I have 2 days to make a pretty involved cake. I'd like to make my MMF ahead of time and use it a week later. How do I store it? Will it owrk just like it does when it's fresh?

Thankf for your help!

make sure you store it room temperature air tight .. I wrap mine in Saran wrap ... I find mine works better when I make it a couple of hours ahead of time or in a ziplock...... the gurus on this site have said that if it's too stiff when you get to it all you have to do is pop it in the microwave a few seconds at the time .... this stuff lasts for months ... whatever you don't refrigerate it

The recipe I used said it was good for a month (RLB), and could be stored indefinitely in the freezer. It was not marshmallow fondant, but another basic fondant recipe.

I'm interested to see how long you can keep the marshmallow fondant.

I was just looking for a recipe for Chocolate MMF, how funny.

I haven't found one but I was thinking about replacing some of the powdered sugar with unsweetened cocoa powder, but I'm not sure how much to use. Let's see if someone has already tried this and responds.

To make chocolate MMF I melted one cup of dark chocolate candy melts and a 1 oz unsweetened chocolate square. I melted the chocolate and set it aside. Then I melted the marshmallows. I stirred in the chocolate to the melted marshmallows then poured that mixture into the powdered sugar. My KithcneAid did the rest!

I don't eat marshmallows but my DH and BIL said it tasted mildly chocolaty and not overly sweet.
