Children sadness

The children did not like my cheescake.
"How can anyone eat chees in a cake" was their responce.
I however thought it was delicious. It was a cherry cheescake on a baked cake by nuts. Not quit sure what it is called in english. Just let me call it nutbottomcake.

I have never liked the biscuit layer. It has been toooooo oily for me.
What do you use for this cake?
Is there any differen for the continents?

Those kids wouldn't know good if it came up and bit them in the butt!!! OOOOOPS! Sorry, who doesn't like cheesecake?!?!?!?!?!? Your attachment didn't come through, so I don't know what was attached!! :LOL

Hi! I love cheesecake icon_smile.gif However, I'm allergic to nuts, so I usually stick with a standby graham cracker crumb/butter crust, or sometimes the oreo cookie crust.

Most of the kids I know don't care for cheesecake either, but all my 'grown-up' girlfriends like it!

I use equal part almonds and pecans for my crust (plus the sugar [Splenda- actually] and butter). It's awesome!!

I'm sure your cheesecake was delicious...It's just that at a tender age, their taste buds are not fully developed, they haven't developed the palate for it...
As far as the biscuite being oily, what is used in Norway to make it?? Is oil used, or butter or margarine?

elin, your cheesecake looks good to me. I've never seen one in a heart shape though. Ü I like it but not everyone I know does. My granddaughters don't care for it much if it's a scratch one but they like the boxed kind. I use english walnuts or pecans, butter (not margarine yuck!) , flour and sugar in my crust.
I don't make it very often anymore. My daughter made her first ever scratch cheesecake for Christmas dinner at her in laws and forgot to add the sugar!! Needless to say it was awful. Her hubby took it outside and put it in the back of their truck. Then they forgot about it and it was there for about two weeks before her remembered and threw it away. It was a very cold winter so it was frozen the whole time. You might want to try some different recipe variations for cheesecake. Kids think of cheese and think of the kind you have on sandwiches or grate for tacos or something, and it's hard to imagine it in something like a cake. Keep trying!

That is so sad that the children didn't like. I have four children and that is one of the only things that they all agree on, they all love my cheesecakes. I make all mine from scratch. Their favorites are chocolate chip cheesecake or Oreo cheesecake. My husband and I prefer the plain cheescake though.
