Does anyone else have trouble with CC website other them myself? It takes forever to get anywhere on CC. If I want to look at the new photos that have just been downloaded by other CCer's and make a comment about their cake, half the time I can't even get into it. The other half of the time it takes forever. Getting into the home page threads takes forever too. Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem also?

All the time. Particularly the pictures. Drives me crazy.

I also have this problem! Sometimes it is superfast and then other times it is soo slow I just leave the site! I have a newer computer and DSL so I know it is not me. It is so frustrating sometimes, that is for sure.

Have you tried deleting your 'cookies' and downloaded files cache. If they get too full it slows down your computer. hth

me too, and my husband is convinced i have a virus or something! at least now i can tell him its not MY computer. take a look sometime and see how many of us are on this site at the same time. i think that has something to do with it, but what do i know, i make cakes, not computers!

This has been an ongoing problem here at CC. I have reported this through the Help link in the top tabs a couple of times over the past month, so the administrators are aware of it.

It is more upsetting for me and other gallery supporters, who may be having difficulty posting comments on pictures. It looks like I am not doing my job, but sometimes it is so hard to get into the galleries that I just give up until another day.

I delete my cookies and downloaded files all the time, this does not really seem to make a differance. There have been several posts about this, and it seems that the site has just grown so much that they cannot keep up with it all, the servers are not big enough.

Yea i have that problem often, but I just thought that maybe the server was too busy, too many people on CC. Maybe I have no idea what i'm talking about but thats just what i always figured.

The only problem I have been experiencing the past few days is getting post notices in my e-mail box, but they are ones from months ago - nothing new has been posted!

Strange -- after my comment above I went to the gallery to comment on some pics and now I can't get them to come up

I also don't get my notice posts adn the picture galleries are very slow, sometimes timing me out.

I also can't get to the galleries from the GALLERY tab, I have to click on someone's photo and then click on the Photo gallery link from there.

I also have had trouble for the past month. I have also done as much troubleshooting as you guys, it must be the CC server.

I frequently have problems getting on the site period! I also have DSL and a great computer as well as a lap top. Have problems if I try from other locations so it is not my computer.

I only have problems sometimes. I too thought it was just me...Good to know!

Yep. Really slow for me when I'm trying to look at peoples pictures too.

I clear my cookies and history regularly and still often have a problem here. It's much better than when I first joined though, that's when it was hit and miss whether you would be able to get on at all.
