In a way to get us here to get us decorating, practicing or whatever, maybe we should put a challenge out there for some kind of decorated cake, or cookies, brownies whatever a week... take a picture post it and then you do whatever you want with it, and tell us what you did with it, so it gives ideas to others of what to do with things... whatcha think?

I am not sure about weekly that might be a little much for waistlines,
but a monthly challenge would be pretty cool. Maybe Jackie could put a Cake Central challenge photo of the month on the home page, where the winners creation can be viewed. I know there are seasonal challenges with awards but the reward for the monthly challenge could be front-page recognition for your hard work.

That sounds like a good idea.
It would be great to have a challange once in a while. And all the ideas it would come up with.
Cool.

I agree, it would give me something to aspire to, especially if there were themes.
Not to mention there is not much for cake contests around me.

A monthly challenge sounds like fun. Before my Wilton instructor moved, she had a cake club every other month. A group of her former students just got together to create a cake and share experiences. It was less stressful than a class and still a learning experience.

I like the idea of a monthly challenge. It'd set a monthly goal for everyone interested. I love cake but have no problem getting rid of the ones I don't want around for me to pick at. KrazyKross I'd love to have a cake club or some type of gathering for cake decorators in my area. Something to share ideas and favorites with other decorators. I took my cake courses in a town 50 miles away but I'd still go up there if I had to for such a group. It's just more fun when you can have actual contact with others with the same interest.

I would love to do a monthly challenge, weekly is too much for me with work and other cake/cookie orders but monthly I could handle. A theme month would be a great idea and would challenge our creative minds a bit too! I am all for it

Well, I figured if Jackie says ok, then if you have a cake you have done for an order you can use that one or any one of those. Its just to get those of us who dont have alot of orders busy doing decorating, and then if Jackie holds a special holiday contest that would be the cake challenge for that month. I didnt want to overload those of you who are busy with decorating, family and such.... but I think it would be cool.

I think it would be more fun to do a certain theme.... Everyone does borders with say a number 32 tip and this way its going to make others try things that they would not try....
maybe you guys could make a list of who would like to offer what and each week you tell your thought at the begining of the week and there could be a specail forum set up that we could post them all together for that week and then so on.....
this way there is a challange to try something new that maybe you would not try on your own..
What you can do is that person that is picked to do this weeks thing could post what they would like to see....
Just a thought...
