Does anyone know if the Wilton Paste colors expire? Or does anyone know how long they last after they have been opened? Do they even go bad?

Thanks all!

I'm not sure what kind of shelf life the paste colors have! I have never had a jar last long enough to go bad. I do know that if they start to dry out, you can add a little glycerin to refresh them back to a more normal consistency.

HTH! Maybe someone else has more info on this subject!

I also do not know about an expiration date. I usually use mine pretty quickly. I know that after a few months they start to get dry if they have been opened. icon_smile.gif

As long as you have not contaminated your colours with anything and only use toothpicks or clean articles to remove colour, they are supposed to be good indefinitely. This has been asked on the Wilton site many times, use a bit of glycerine to fix any that have dried out. Contact Wilton through the site if you want more details.
