Just an FYI...

The Designer Wedding Cake Bake-Off is on Food Network tonight at 9pm EST. I always seem to find out about these shows after the fact so, since I'm actually ahead of the game for once, I thought I'd pass along the info.

For those who like sugar, right now the Fire and Ice competition is on. It's a team competition with one pastry chef and one ice sculpter. It's pretty amazing!

ENJOY!

I love watching these shows too. Somehow I always seem to miss them though. Then, after the show I read about them on CC. I can't wait to watch it tonight. Although, with my luck, I'll probably fall asleep on the couch and miss it again! icon_lol.gif

The cake was absolutely amazing!!! What a beautiful display and such detail. Did you catch that she also won the 1 hour/1 tip competition?

These are the same shows they've been showing for a year or two, aren't they? My only complaint is they need new updated ones, instead of rehashing the same shows over and over. I know they serve a purpose, but show something new thrown in.

Yes I did and she so deserved it. You would never be able to tell they only got to use 1 tip under a time limit!

I think I'd still be standing there looking at the tip, wondering what all I could do with it. That was pretty cool, and the cake that one the wedding competition was definately great, the second place wasn't exactly a slouch cake either.

The first place cake was amazing. The intricate work on the second place cake almost doesn't seem humanly possible.
