Make them from round/ball pans with regular cake as opposed to the original yeasted bread cake. LOTS of color! Masks with feathers, fondant beads...sheet music for When the Saints Come Marching In?

Don't forget the baby! lol I usually use a bundt cake pan for ours. Buttercream all over with green, purple, and yellow sugarsprinkes for decos. We have done fondant masks, feather, beads around the outside as a border, and sparkler candles.

You can set a small pot in the center of the bundt cake to have items sticking out of them.
