Okay..here is my disaster story that happened earlier today. I had made a chocolate cake for my husband. I had already filled the cake with chocolate fudge filling, and had frosted it with chocolate buttercream. I was letting the buttercream crust over so that I could get it really smooth before decorating it when the doorbell rang. I went to the door and it was the UPS guy. I signed for my package and walked into the dining room. I noticed that the house was really quiet, which it never is with a 2 year old and an 8 month old. I looked in the kids' rooms and neither was in there. I walked into the kitchen (where the cake was) and saw my daughter sitting on the floor...surrounded by cake crumbs....there were cake crumbs from the counter where the cake was sitting all the way to the cabinent on the other side of the kitchen. I looked over at the cake and about half of it was gone
...I started calling for my son, but did not get a reply..I finally went over by the cabinent where the crumbs led to and called his name...then I heard..."Hayden's not in here, mommy", which the little voice sounded distinctly like my son, Hayden. I opened up the cabinent to find that he had crawled in the cabinent with the pots and pans..and had been eating my cake...chocolate covered from head to toe..and incriminating cake evidence in the cabinent. I asked him what happed to the cake, and he told me that the baby had gotten mommy's cake. I asked him how she got the cake...and why if she got it , it was all over his face and hands...he said that she climbed upon the counter and got it(the same baby that does the "froggy hop" because she can't crawl)...I asked him why he was eating it and he told me that when the cake was falling from the counter, he caught it and it got all over his hand and face. After I have cooled down a bit, it is kinda funny, but we definitely have some fibbing issues on our hands.
