Need A 'knock Their Socks Off' Cake....

I have been invited to a Southern Living Home party, and cannot go, but thought I would drop off a cake with some business cards. I already have a gold luster dusted bow, and want something I can use that on. I, obviously, thought of a package cake, which I love, but am not sure what color to do with gold bow to make it pop. It doesn't have to be a package, but what else can I do?
There will be a lot of women there, and think I could def. get some business from them, so I want this to 'wow' them....
Please, any suggestions would be appreciated. Think inside the box. Think outside the box. Anything....?
Thanks!!!!
I like the idea of a package cake. Maybe make it valentinesy(is that a word?) A red cake w/ gold scrollwork or hearts or a really dark chocolate ganache would look beautiful with the gold bow, or white or pink with gold accents
Whatever you do have fun with it and I'm sure it will be beautiful
Tastycakes and ge978--Thanks for your ideas. I really like the wreath idea, but I think I am going to save that idea for spring and try one of those grapevine wreaths. I think I am going to try a valentine package. Red, pink, white, and gold. Pretty standard. Thanks again for answering me. I will post a pic. I have to have it for Thurs night. Have a good day!
I just went to a Southern Living Home party. They have their Spring catalogue out. Maybe you could make a cake in colors to coordinate with Southern Living's colors and the host could use your cake to show off the products as well as your cake. Just an idea.
thanks for all the ideas, but it turns out I never got to make the cake. Sick baby. she is fine, but no cake. Thanks anyway!
