Anyone ever hear of these? I am clueless. All I know is my son's former preschool teacher called today to order a baby shower cake and asked if I also made cheese stars. All she could tell me was they were made with or from cheese. Apparently the lady she used to get her cakes from does them. I would love the learn what they are and make them since she said she prefers my cakes to the other ladies cakes.

I told her I would see what I could find out so, icon_eek.gifHELP!!!!

here's a recipe I found for "cheese stars"... but I've no idea waht they really are...

Swiss Cheese Stars

* 1 C. Bisquick
* 1/3 C. milk
* 1 C. grated swiss cheese

* Preheat oven 450°
* Combine all with a fork. Beat 15 strokes.
* Knead gently 10 times to smooth up.
* Roll around on a board that is lightly dusted with bisquick.
* Roll out 1/4 inch thick.
* Cut into star or other shapes with cookie cutters.
* Sprinkle with paprika, caraway seeds, celery seeds, garlic salt, sesame seeds, etc.
* Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Makes 1-1/2 dozen

THANKS,Cakeman66!! I hope someone on here has had them or better yet made them. I just found a recipe similar to that online. I am guessing they are sort of like a cheddar bisquit. Anyone have any idea what to charge for these things? I've never even heard of them but they sound yummy, LOL!!

the products used in the recipe would be dirt cheap. A batch would cost less than $1 to make, even two batches would cost $1 or less.

IF these are what she wants, then you could get I dont' know... $.50 each? or more. It really depends. You could also just tell her, this time they're free, if she only wants a few, or incorporate them into the cake price.

That's an idea. I guess I could just ask her what the other lady charged and go from that. Being that this is my first time attempting them, whatever the other lady charged is probably fine. I have made sausage balls which seems very similar to these. I will just have to call her and ask her if they were like cheddar bisquits or if they had sausage in them.

Thanks again Cakeman66!
