The only way I would know how to, is if you start with white chocolate for the red and white. For black, you could use real chocolate, then black coloring! In my experience, you can only use colorings that are oil based, if they are water based, it ruins the chocolate! Good Luck!

Any suggestions on oil based colorings?? Do the wilton gels work (are they oil based)???

Any other ways of coloring chocolate!?

Thanks!!!

The gels are water based, but they make oil based colors specifically for chocolate, they use them for there chocolate candy melts! Hope that helps!

cake coloring jels...NO!

need the CANDY coloring gels... wilton does make these but not in very many colors.

for the red, you could buy precolored candy melts, then don't have to dye.
and white candy melts for white
both of which have vanilla/white chocolate sort of taste.

then take meghan89's suggestion to use real chocolate (or you could you use chocolate candy melts) and then add black candy coloring.

real chocolate will always look a shade of brown or black if colored.

all the other colors are made using white chocolate.

Link to Wilton's candy colouring kits(they don't sell them separately)
http://www.wilton.com/store/site/department.cfm?id=5306E098-475A-BAC0-577A65873A8A7A90&fid=5306E0B7-475A-BAC0-57E2D9C10FA40099

The above colours are for colouring their candy melts, which is basically coloured white chocolate(confectionary coating). You can get white and red melting wafers, and then dye dark cocoa wafers black(you would defintely want to start with the darkest brown wafer, because then you won't need to use the entire jar of colouring to get it black).

I believe Americolor sells a compound that lets you use any of their regular colours to colour chocolate... check their web site!
