I am new to cake decorating. I am going to try to do my youngest daughters b-day cake. I 'm a little confused on sheet cake size. The baker I use to use always asked me if I wanted a sheet or half sheet. I always picked half sheet. Does any one know if this means 12 by18?Thanks for your help. Katie

momof2,

In some areas an 11x15 is considered a 1/2 sheet. In my area a 12x18 is a 3/4 sheet. How many people will you need to feed.

Depending on how you cut your slices...you can get around 30-40 slices out of the 11x15....and around 60 slices out of the 12x18.
