Nah, I like to play with fondant (plastic isn't that easy to manipulate) icon_lol.gif ...LOL...but thanks! I tried to get a close up picture of them...but they came out blurry. Ah well, time to get a better camera, I suppose.

Well Good Night...I am way open to more ideas if anyone has them...keep posting. Oh and Lisa, your cakes are awesome, I especially like the scrabble board...you are really good with borders. (An area I need to work on) How did you do the board part of the scrabble game? Do you have a edible ink printer?

Thanks again,
Mixee

VERY CUTE!!! I think it looks excellent. I think the drop flowers might add too much but I like the idea of adding dots to the border! Excellent job!!! thumbs_up.gif

Yes...I use a Canon i350. Thanks for the compliments. Borders is an area I still need to work on too. Can't seem to master reverse shell.

That looks great....did you post it in the galleries too? I had a link that did cake blocks...I will add it just in case someone else would like it.

No, I haven't gotten into the whole gallery thing yet...I will look into that later. I wanted to do the blocks, but I couldn't find pans for it...so I tried baking a cake and then cutting out smaller blocks with cookie cutters (to put on top of a cake) but they were so 'crumby' that I couldn't put buttercream on them (I was going to cover them in fondant for a smooth look).

Lisa: I hate the reverse shell icon_confused.gif ...just for the record. I will just have to stick to my standard shell border until I get creative enough to try something else. You still didn't reveal how you did the top of the scrabble board, though... are you avoiding that question? icon_wink.gif

I am actually on my 2nd Wilton Course right now. So there is still alot to learn.

Mixee I think you did a great job!! Your big blocks look great and the colors are very nice. I wouldn't add flowers to it at all. Maybe do one border in yellow and the other in blue to add a little more color. I'll keep this in mind for when I need a new baby shower idea. Good work!! Just think how you can vary this one for your next baby shower cake.

Mixaleena I like what you did with that cake, use the same cake for the next shower but use a different colors for the top and bottom shells.

I think I might do that...but I don't think I will do a square again, I don't know.
What does everyone here use to transport their cakes? As in box ideas? I made a 'wedding' cake for a couple friends that was approx 8" high and had to buy a 12 x 12 x 12" box from Office Depot and wrap it...anyone know of a thread on this topic or should we start a new one?

Look around in the General Forum and also the How Do I? forum. This has been brought up before. Also when in the forums clikc on Search under the forums title and do a search under box and see what it pulls up.
