If you added meringue powder to a thinned diabetic BC icing? Trying to come up with some diabetic royal icing for my friend who just found out she has diabetes. She needs some cheering up.

Are you sure making her cookies ( I assume) wont get her down since she just found out shes diabetic?? (please dont take this the wrong way, just trying to think about how she may be feeling. What a stressful time Maybe you should find a good low sugar recipe for a cake or cookies to show your support but also that being diabtic isn't a life sentence from dessert! My grandmother is diabetic and she loves pudding pies made with sugar free instant pudding and lite cool whip!!!

Please excuse me, I got to thinking about it and your tring to do exactly what i just suggested. I guess I started my thoughts with maybe a dessert would bum her out, but then i went on to suggest exactly what your doing!! Sorry about that. Didn't stop to think about it really.

Of course you were trying to come to the rescue, thats what friends are for I think it would be so cool if you did some research and presented her with a little scrapbook (are you crafty? with a bunch of good diabetic recipes. All kinds not just desserts. That would be so thoughtful!!

Oh, that's okay. I just deleted my post because somehow it got posted twice..... One of them was right after your response. I was only trying to get rid of the copy but ended up taking both of them off.
