Kiddo, is there an addition cost to purchase the "Goodwill" factor of the previously established business or because of the circumstances is this not an issue? That was what what throwing me off with the low cost!

I am SO happy for you. Take this opportunity and run with it. I believe that everyone has their own path that God created for them. Sounds like you hve found yours! When my children were the ages of yours I was stuck in a very high stress executive position hating every minute of it. Now they are 30 and 25. I am trying to crawl down my path because I have waited so long to take that first big step. You know when it is right for you so do it if it is and don't look back. If you love what you are doing you will be successful. Also, give hubby a big ole hug from me. I am afraid that I can't even get mine to look at my cakes much less help fulfill a life long dream.

I know you will be so happy.

I want to sincerely say THANK YOU to all of you for your well-wishes & encouragement about this!! It really means so much to me. There's a little part of me that wishes every one of you could come to the opening and help me celebrate CC style!! lol icon_lol.gif I already am planning on getting a new laptop to have there so that I can have access to my CC friends/family whenever I can! (plus so I can work on the business stuff, too! icon_razz.gif ) Hopefully I'll be able to take pics along the way & let you guys know how it's going while we're getting the place ready to open.

I had my last Wilton class last night & my instructor said to me "You need to have your own shop. I think you need to take a few more classes to perfect your decorating skills, but you really do a great job & would be a very successful shop owner." I almost fell out of my chair! lol I hadn't said anything to her about buying the bakery yet!! lol How crazy is that?! icon_lol.gificon_razz.gif When I told her that was exactly what we were doing, she got so excited & told me that she would love to help me get it 'off-the-ground' and invited me to her house for some private 'classes' on decorating & owning a business....she's a 'snowbird' (transplant to this area from Michigan) & owned a cake business for over 30 years! This woman really knows her stuff!! She's not exactly the best instructor for a group of people...can do all the techniques perfectly, but isn't that hot at teaching a group to do it..lol. But she's excellent 1-on-1. And it turns out she lives about 5 minutes away from me...lol. Her saying that & being so excited for me and willing to help is just further proof, I think, that this is what's supposed to happen. icon_rolleyes.gificon_smile.gif

It's not really an issue, here. She just wants to sell it for what she's got in it equipment wise, plus just a little extra to make it worth it for her. I think she's figured in the fact that it's an established business and the'goodwill' into the price already, but she's not asking an arm & a leg for it...lol. And the fact that I'm not purchasing the space it's in also is keeping the cost low...the space is rented, which is fine with me. I have a feeling that in 2 years or so that I would have to move to a larger location, anyway...and better a rental agreement to deal with then, than waiting to sell a space/building before I can move. icon_razz.gif

I can't believe it!! I am so siked for you. This is the greatest news. I wish you all the best. This has to be God's hand lifting you up to catch all of his blessings. Congratulations and good luck. If this is Gods work and you have faith in him, don't worry about the money or the rent, God will put the answers there in front of you. Take that leap of faith and have your self a great little bakery shop. Congratulations again.
