If you're like me and missed most of the shows, you can now purchase the DVD for $34.95. Here's the link:

Hey, someone overseas was just asking if there is a way to watch these online somewhere. I think they live in AU. Ihope they see this thread.

It seems like a lot of money for a show that only has 6 episodes. They could have easily put 6 episodes onto one DVD. About the only possibility is if there is a LOT (and I do mean a LOT) of extra bonus material. Maybe if somebody watches the DVD, they could let us know what the bonus material consists of.
What's the deal with the limited edition Ace of Cakes drum sticks? I guess it's because Duff is in a band, but he only plays the bass guitar, not the drums. It would have been neat if they made something that was more related to cake decorating, or even Ace of Cakes shirts or hats.
Did you mean $29.95 lsawyer?
"Each disc has a running time of 50 minutes and contains 2 episodes plus behind-the-scenes bonus footage of Charm City Cakes."
Maybe the price isn't tooooooo expensive, but it seems odd to spread 6 episodes out between 3 DVDs. Each episode is about 22 minutes each so it would be about 45 minutes of Ace Of Cakes per DVD. Normally DVDs can have at least 2 hours of movie plus all the bonus material. So unless there is a TON of DVD extras, there doesn't seem to be a reason to space it out between 3 DVDs when they could easily put it all onto one DVD (or even put it on 2 DVDs).
TO nglez09..............Oohhhh....you are correct about the price! I feel so stupid. The price I quoted included some silly drumsticks in addition to the DVD's.
TO puzzlegut......maybe they included the commercials??? Gosh, wouldn't that be just awful??
I highly doubt they would include the commercials. Even if they did, it would still be an hour for 2 episodes.
Thanks so much for this piece if information. I have not watched any cos they don't show these where I live but will definitely think about getting the dvds.
Thanks again!
For those that have watched these shows, or seen some of the episodes, do you think that this would be a good buy? or a bit of a waste of money??
TIA

I have a dvr through my cable company and then recorded the shows onto a dvd. There are some ideas on there that will help me, but I am not sure I would pay out that much for a show dvd set. I would if there was an instuctional section also.

If you look at the charm city cakes website, they sell hats, tshirts, etc
I wish there were more episodes but I LOVE that show and so I'm tempted to buy it. I've been wondering if they had DVDs but hadn't actually looked it up yet. Thanks!
Oh that sounds fun! I love the show & will think about buying the dvd! Thanks for the info!
Ditto to ALL of you!
Seems a bit steep for only 6 episodes, even if there IS bonus footage. It's got to be a marketing thing, because I saw "3-dvd set" and jumped!!...until I realized each only had 2 episodes on it. Weird.
I guess when you ask for something, you can't complain about how they give it to you But I'm still debating if it's worth $29.95 PLUS $8.95 shipping. Maybe I'll just camp out at my father-in-laws on the coming Tuesday evenings....
And DRUMSTICKS?? SERIOUSLY....I'm with you guys.
How about a rolling pin or something.
Maybe you can get your local Blockbusters to rent it. They have a lot of other TV Series DVDs for rent.
Okay, I just ordered the DVD set.....expensive, but I do love Duff!! I will let you all know what I think of it when I receive them!!
Hi everyone, Sorry it's taken me so long to post a review of this Ace of Cakes 1st Season dvd set...but here goes!
While I really enjoy Duff and his show....I found this dvd set rather overpriced and not enough bonus material to justify it. Ace of Cakes has never been a tutorial kind of show, rather a view of how Duff & his crew work together and deal with cake-related issues. I would recommend recording the show yourself and saving the $$ for other cake toys or videos.
Hmm sounds like Duff is American chopper for cake lovers?
Sadly I cant se the show here, and cant order to denmark...
sorry for those of you who cant see the show where you live. ive seen all the episodes and i watch re-shows when they come on. so if you cant see the show it might be worth it but you can also see most of the cakes on the shows on the charm city cakes website.
cant wait until july 19th when the new season starts!!!!!!!!!!
Me Too! I have my TiVo set! BUt just in case, I was thinking of going to my sister's for a few days on Thurs., and if she doesn't get food network, I might have to wait a day! Hee Hee!
