ok, just got an order for a four wheeler cake w/an edible image of the customers son riding his four wheeler. She wanted it put on a sheet cake (she thought it would be cheaper). But I told I can't do sheet cakes cheap...I charge per serving...so a sheet cake to serve 24 will be the same as a round/square cake to serve 24. (Hoping this will keep me away from sheet/character cakes!!!).

So she said...well do whatever you want then. But she wants his pic on the cake. Any ideas on how to make this cake....FUN!!!! Haven't found too many ideas that weren't sheet cakes or 3D/sculpted.

The little boy will be turning 8. Any Ideas????

TIA,
Christine

How about finding out what kind of atv it is and seeing if you can find one (with a rider) to put on the cake? I don't know how you'd incorporate the picture though. Someone here recently did one with motorcross bikes on a track so you might want to search the gallery.

Inserting/replacing images is very easy.
You can use image editing software to insert a picture of the birthday boy in the ATV image. If you have the two images ready, you can do it in a few minutes. If you need help pm me and I can help you do it.

What if you made a fondant plaque of the edible image, the boy riding his atv, and then mounted that to a popsicle stick and inserted it into a cake made to look like a huge mud pile...tire tracks and all. Or inserted it into an 8 shaped cake made to look like a track?
