Which tip do I need to use in order to get that nice big swirl look to it? Like the ones antonia74 makes. Is it just a start tip? TIA icon_smile.gif

for the cupcakes I did this w/end, I used the attached tip. I have no idea what size it is, i bought it at a catering shop. I took a photo of it next to the Wilton No 21 tip so you can get an idea of how big it is.

I agree with cande, your buttercream looks delicious. I got stuck on your cupcake picture and tried to tell myself it must be the soothing green color in the background, but no, it was definitely the creamy, swirly, frosting. icon_razz.gif

Thanks so much, everyone! I used the 2D, the other day, and loved the outcome. But I want to experiment, so next time I'll use another of the ones suggested. I don't have a 1M, so I'll have to get that one, but do have lots of star and flower tips, so I'm gonna just play one day. icon_razz.gif

Nati - I have never seen a tip like that before...wish I could find one! Man, is it huge, or what?! lol icon_lol.gif It gave super results on your cupcakes thumbs_up.gif

No biggie on the buttercream, it's just Solite mixed with pure icing sugar (powdered sugar).
You mix 200gms of solite, with 460gms of pure icing sugar and 60 gms of water. The rose cupcakes were used using the same buttercream. Solite is a vegetable shortening, i imagine similar to what you guys call Crisco. I also added a bit of brown to make the colour not be white, so it was more natural looking.

Nati... I know that Solite has been recently new for you.. are you sold on it? Will you still use the stuff from the past or is it solite all the way?? If so what is it that you prefer... taste, texture, something else
