I'm gonna try to make the bottles this month, Ive been eyeing for a year lol , i just havent had the guts to try it. Wish me luck.

btw do you guys charge per bottle?

They really are not that hard, just time consuming... You can do it.. I know you can.. thumbs_up.gif I don't sell cakes.. can't help ya with that one.

ok so my bottles came out pretty good, but im having trouble making the candy ice.

I poured the sugar over foil and the broke it into pieces but it didnt look right and the foil didnt wanna come off.

is there another way to do this ??

can i pour the sugar into ice molds and make ice cubes?

do i need to grease the molds or anything??


this cake is for 2morrow , someone help me please

Kayla, Did you use regular sugar, or isomalt? I only use isomalt for the ice, but either should work ok. Make sure you are using the non stick foil that Reynolds makes. I have never tried it with the regular foil, that might be the problem.. Good luck..

I used regular sugar. I dont have isomalt icon_sad.gif but I just bought non stick foil. wish me luck

ok it was a success! everyone freaked out and no would believe it was sugar. everyone kept touching it lol.

using the no stick foil was way better, thanks laura

next time im gonna buy isomalt cuz the ice had a yellow tint to it

Kayla, did the non stick foil work well? I had the same problem you did with the ice and foil and ended up using a silicone cake pan That worked great! Be sure and post your pictures!

GrandmaG the non stick foil works sooo much better, the sugar poped right off.

Kayla, I totally LOVE your bottles!!! the whole cake is awesome!! I'm sure your family loved it icon_smile.gif and I know exactly what you mean about pictures...often I make a cake, I think is acceptable, everyone likes it, but then I see the pictures and, ahhhhh icon_sad.gifthumbsdown.gif I decide NOT to bring it to CC icon_redface.gif
That's why when I see a perfect looking cake in CC I always think---that must be a super-duper-perfect cake in person!!!!
