I was wondering if anyone knows of any cake specialty shops in the Albany NY area? icon_confused.gif

Since I've learned that there's more to cake life than Wilton LOL I'd like to go to some other stores besides Michael's! icon_biggrin.gif

No, I live farther north than you, but check the yellow pages for party supply stores and check them. I found one in Malone, NY that has almost everything I could want.

I know your original post was a few weeks ago, but if you're still looking, there are 2 places that I go to around Albany. The Confectionery House is located on Hoosick Street in Troy. They also have an extensive website. The store is really small, but they do have quite a bit.

The second place I know if is Candyland Confectionery in Schodack Landing. It's not too far outside of Albany.

I found Candyland Confectionery last year when I was travelling to Averill Park.....OMG!!!!!!!! Nancy (the owner) is a great lady! I so wanted a specific pan for Christmas....called her on a Saturday, asked if she had it and told her hubby would be up later. Well, she remembered me (hard not to remember the lady in the wheelchair) and she got one off the shelf and had it behind the counter when DH got there!!!!!!!

DH has "forbidden" me from going there!!! But, alas, I have to be near there twice a year, so......... icon_evil.gif
