I really enjoyed the video books I purchased from www.CakesMadeEasy.com.

I learned alot and found them very easy to understand.

If you sign up for the FREE cake decorating tips on here they will email you a new tip couple of days...
I don't own the videos, but the clips they show look pretty informative...

Wilton has several books out that you could buy that have great instructions in them. Then there are practice boards you can buy to work on different borders, etc.

I don't know of any videos on line but maybe someone else will let both of us know!!!!

A lot of cake decorating is like anything else, practice practice practice!! Then there's the ole' trial and error thing!!!

Wilton also sells videos on basic cake decorating and wedding cakes.

Some free videos on a few various techniques can be found on www.youtube.com.
