Hi there.
Does anyone have a recipe for an Italian torta?
We buy them in Italian patisseries and cake shops. I can never seem to be able to copy the very light sponge cake they use.
The cake is sponge that is layered with liqueur and custard between layers of cake. Sometimes profiteroles are place around the edge of the cake also.
Anyone with an Italian background may be able to know what I'm talking about.
