I need to do a cake for my daughter's Kindergarten class for their "100th" day of school. I was thinking of making little faces on the cake, originally with buttercream. I bought the Color Flow and decided to try that instead and stick them on right before I deliver the cake. I have read about "puddle faces" and was wondering if anyone has done these and if they have a photo I could see. Would I do a puddle face, let it dry and then comeback and do the hair and features? Are the features done with edible marker then?
Thanks in advance.

Puddle faces are made from practice puddles, once you thin the color flow. you can use full strength color flow for the hair, and ediable markers for the features. I hope this helps, I don't have a picture, but if you have a Wilton course 2 book they are in that. Good Luck and please post Pics.
I'm taking level 2 right now and we made the puddles on Wednesday. Basically it was thinned out color flow (when you drop a spoonful, it will take a count of 10 to disappear). We just used a #2 tip and squeezed out a mound and it flatted a bit. The ones I made in class are hard today. The instructor told us to go back with the markers and draw the face on. The puddles I made were too small to do that with however.
Hope that helps.
