Any cake you are referring to in particular? Are they iced on the cake, molded from fondant, cut with cookie cutters? With this info we can help to steer you in the right direction!

on one of the pictures, they are molded from fondant but on another picture they seem to be made out of cake!
I am sorry,I am new at this and I seem to be a little lost on the forum!lol
unfrotunatly I live in France and I cannot find much stuff here.
I was thinking of ordering but the birthday is in a week which would be too short to receive my order.

Hmmm...take a look at my pictures by clicking on photos at the bottom here. I made a cake with baby feet on it. Is this what you are thinking of?

Tripletmom, I'd like to know what you made those little feet from too! Is that fondant or color flow? Very cute cake! Love the little plaque that sits in front too... how did you do this so perfectly? You're soooo talented... and with triplets too! How do you find the time? : )

icon_redface.gif Thank you wendysue. I only decorate when the girls are in bed so I've been known to still be up when my hubby gets up to go to work at 5 AM! He thinks I'm crazy but I love doing each and every cake!

The feet were done with fondant and brushed with lustre dust. I cut a rectangularish-oval (if that makes any sense!) from a rolled out piece of fondant and shaped it by hand for the foot part, rounding the edges until I got a foot shape. The toes were just balls that I rolled up and flattened a little bit. I did buy a foot cookie cutter but I was not happy with it and ended up doing them all in the method I just described.

The plaque was a piece of fondant with gum-tex added to it that I cut freehand a few days before and let harden. I then printed the text out on rice paper, lightly brushed the plaque with clear corn syrup and centered the rice paper on it. Once it has set I used an exacto knife to go around the plaque and then used royal icing to hide any of the rough edges. It was all brushed with super pearl lustre dust.

that's it!
beautiful job!
I am very very impressed.
I will have to make everything from scratch and I have never seen any other food coloring besides yellow, green and red here in France.
I am very worreid about it but I will do my best.
I am sorry for not having answer yesterday it was 11pm and I had to get some rest.
Is the recipe for the fondant on this site?
thank you very much for all your help

stejess ,
I don't know if they sell it in France, but try and find coloring made for cake decorating, like Americolor, Wilton or Spectrum (brand names). The regular food color that is sold in a set of three or four in the supermarket doesn't work nearly so well. Good Luck! : )

Are you refering to baby feet or Baby booties? There is an excellent way to make Baby booties out of cupcakes. I have a baby shower cake posted with them. They are very easy to do, and they are by far the best part of my cake!
You basically need 3 cupcakes. Turn 2 of them upside down (level them first, so they sit flush with the cake) and then hollow out the tops. Then cut the 3rd cupcake in half, place one half in front of each of the other two, trim it to look like toes, then ice them using the zigzag motion to give them a knitted appearance. Pipe a bow, and add any decorations for the toes! It's very hard to mess this up!
