Buttercreme Flowers?

How far in advance can I make buttercreme flowers and how can I store them?

I'm not very good at them, and I'm very new to cake decorating, but... I've made them up to a week in advance and stored them single-layer in a tupperware container in the fridge.

I make roses up to two months ahead and store them in tupperware in the freezer. I put them on the cake still frozen.

Just watch with colours like deep reds, deep blues etc. as some of these colours will bleed out at room temperature once they have been refrigerated or frozen.

Depending on your recipe for buttercream you can make them in let them air dry then store them in a cardboard cake box.

I use the wilton class recipe for buttercreme.
