I am new to using fondant and I like it. I want to experiment with making the drapes that so many of you do so beautifully. Can anyone give some instructions or is there a tutorial for this that I am missing? Thanks.

I agree that would be really good to see or read. I have not tried this yet but think it looks so elegant.

I made drapes with fondant last September. I was very nervous about it. I rolled out the fondant in pieces about six or eight inches wide and as long as my rolling pin (I guess). I cut off the edges so it was a crisp rectangle. Then I pleated the fondant back and forth. I kept the individual pleated pieces and gently opened them up to place on the cake at the reception hall. A couple were sticky and didn't separate well, so luckily I made a lot of drapes at home first. I pinched a fold downward and I attached the drapes with blobs of butter cream only at the top and bottom and let the drape fall naturallyy diagonally over the side of the cake.
