Thanks Jackie...I'm so glad you guys carry the americolor now. Hopefully the sale will be going on next month when income taxes come in. Then you really will need to stock up icon_lol.gif

I have never used Americolor. but with all the reviews I am looking forward to getting some with my tax refund... hope the sale lasts that long.

Untill now I have used Wilton. From what I hear the red blows Wiltons red away.

I too am glad that the sale is extended. BUT, the shipping is what is why I have not placed my order. I had about 11-12 items which was roughly $15 or so and then saw a $13 shipping cost. ?? At this time I am not going to spend $50 or more just to get free shipping. What's the deal on the Shipping? Christine

Hi Christine,
It's possible that you added a very heavy item to your shopping cart. Our average domestic shipping cost to is around $5 or less, unless there is a particularly heavy item in the cart.
If you send me a PM, I can help your troubleshoot the problem.

no, shipping is free on orders over $50.

If we put out the best prices on the internet AND gave free shipping on all orders, cake central would go broke.

Hi ~ I too am happy to know americolor items will be restocked at the sale price. I had picked several colors before and they were sitting in my cart for a few days. I tend to shop off & on. Well you can imagine my surprise when a number of the colors I had were labeled out of stock!! They were in stock when they went into my cart. I don't think it's right if something is in a cart and because it wasn't paid for yet to give it to someone else. I have a few items sittling in my cart again and hopefully they'll stay there until I've finished with my order. I usually try to shop to get the best value since we're not in a high income bracket. Plus I would love to be able to use the Free Shipping offer for orders of $50 or more.
Speaking of shipping.....does anyone know of a good online site to shop for decorating accessories like flexible molds etc?? I was going to order from one but their shipping is ridiculous!!!
I really love this site. It's great to see what the average person creates. I think your Questions and Answers feature is wonderful. People are really nice about letting info flow freely. Many Thanks!!

Unfortunately this is not a realistic possibility for smaller online retailers. If we took everything off the market that was sitting in a pending cart, we would be out of stock on pretty much everything most of the time. People put stuff in their carts all the time and never finish the check out process or clear their cart. with the thousands of people that visit cake central everyday, you can imagine how much inventory would end up in limbo.

I can understand your frustration, but you should be able to order your colors this week.

I just want to say that I was able to get in on the first wave of orders!! Wow, the shipping was great. I received my order within 3 days of ordering!! Thanks Cake Central!!

Just curious.... why in 4.5 oz bottles is the bright white & electric purple a dollar more ??

Well the bright white is actually a 6 oz bottle which is the reason for that price difference. I don't know why the Electric Purple costs more, but it costs us more to buy it from Americolor, so that is why we have to charge more for it.
