Hi I made a snowflake cake and had problems with the snowflakes breaking (used royal icing). I wondered how to get them not to break any ideas. I saw a cake in the contests that had angels made of royal icing and wondered how they ever got them not to break. Is there something that I should add to my royal icing to make it more flexbile????

I don't know about "flexible"....sometimes I do things in royal icing on rice paper cutouts, but rice paper is hard to find for most people.....maybe you need to apply the icing a little heavier or use a larger tip opening?

I used a #3 tip and wouldn't want the lines any thicker though.

I found the cake you are talking about - gorgeous!!! I was looking to see if there was any info as to who did it so maybe you could pm the creator for some advise....they are really beautiful. Good luck..
