Hi,

I'd like to tint coconut green so that I may use it as grass for a retirement cake.

Has anyone tinted coconut?

Please help.

You can use liquid food coloring. You can use the Wilton stuff just add a little bit of water to thin the color out, I mean a drop at a time to get the color going you can spread the colored coconut out on a cookie sheet to dry just a bit before you use it on the cake.

That makes sense! I read in the Wilton yearbook to add a drop of dye into the coconut then knead it in. I wasn't sure how much colour to add or how it would colour the entire bag of coconut.

Thanks! thumbs_up.gif
