Does anyone have a good King Cake recipe? I'm thinking about making one this weekend. Not sure where I saw something posted about it but it sound good. I checked the recipe on this site but would like to see what other recipes are out there.
Thanx in advance!

I found this the other day when looking for something else!

They have lots of great stuff on there.

I used to live in New Orleans and always said I was going to try to make a King cake. My favorite was filled with bavarian cream!!!

I make King Cakes every year for my daughter's French classes. The recipe I use is Emeril's - and I color my own sugar to decorate it with.....you get the richer colors that way. (purple, gold and green) Don't forget to insert a tiny plastic baby in it before delivering it. (I lift up and insert it in the bottom of the cake after it is done cooling instead of baking it in the cake)

I would love to hear how it turned out - I have tried twice to make a King cake and they always come out really dry! I have decided to give up and order them online from now on.
