Hello,
I have seen a few posts where the assumed gender of this site is female. It got me thinking as to what the exact ratio is. I know myself and cookieman are males but was wondering how outnumbered we are or if there are other guys out there. This is a fun poll. 
I also hope I don't offend anyone as that is not my intent.

I think I saw another post yesterday that was a man. His screenname had man in it. Can't remember exactly sorry!

..just for the record, I think there are at least 2 more males..but I'm not one of them!! With over 4300 members...I'd still guess you are pretty outnumbered, but equally as important!!
4 males in a forum with over 4300 women? SWEET!!! Pardon me while I put on my leopard print leisure suit and slick back my hair!! For the record, I do not own a leisure suit of any kind. 
Besides, if I did I think the Mrs. would have thrown it out years ago. I really like this site and I'm glad we can have fun in it once on a while.

This is so interesting. If you go into the "professional" world of restaurants and catering and took the same poll, I bet it would weigh heavily on the male side. Very telling when it comes to just how much progress we've made in the world of equality in this country. Women are still underpaid and not getting the top jobs. I really don't understand it!
I would be willing to bet that the men are outnumbered on this site because women....Mom's in particular , are the ones at home taking care of the home and chidlren, for the most part and therefore have a bit more time to look for sites such as this one. I think it's great to have the guys in there, they would obviously have a slightly differnt viewpoint and that is needed. I love this site and all it's member, male or female!
I like having men on here.....they have a different point of view on things, and I always like to find someone who is wrong.....ha hahaha just messing, in all honesty here here to the men, they know just how much of a problem a cake can be...unlike my husband who just shakes his head.
It funny kind of. I see more male chefs on tv and hear more about them, but I see more women decorators.. now if you were thinking ratio of women cake decorators versus male decorators it would be a narrow divide I think....The men I talk to (friends of course) feel cake decorating isnt a man thing, but cooking is!
