I just got an order today for a Sweet 16 cake due 2/2. The mom or daughter have NO ideas for what they want and are no help at all. The only thing the daughter says when mom asks what she wants on her cake is, "Me!" I don't own a printer to print edible images. The mom mentioned if I did we could put a pic of her as a baby and her now. Does anyone know if Wal-Mart or other stores that do this will print the pictures for me and let me pay for them? Is there any other way to use pictures on a cake besides making into an edible image? Any other great ideas for a Sweet 16 cake? Thanks for any help. I'm stressing over this one already! This is a coworker of my husband's who is planning on ordering several cakes from me so I want this to be great! icon_smile.gif

Go to a super Target or Walmart. I was able to get SuperTarget to print an edible image for me for only $5.00.

Like someone else told me ... you could also get copies of the pictures and have them laminated at a Kinkos or Staples!

I suggested laminating the photos and mom didn't really respond to that. If I can't find a place that will sell them to me, I'll bring that up again. Any more ideas in case the picture thing doesn't work out? Thanks!!!

Like Peach said, you could go somewhere and have an edible image made, I believe even Baskin Robins will do them. Or, instead of an actual picture maybe you could do a BCT or something along those lines of her. icon_confused.gif

Maybe you could do something like this made by heavenlycakes here on CC.. Only use a Sweet 16 doll at the top and go down with smaller versions of a girl.. and add picture frames to the table of the sweet 16.. And yes some walmarts will make the picture for you on a edible image.
Good Luck

You know I found a saint Mac the closest to me in TX. with an edible image printer.. I sent her the pics I wanted and she made them for me and mailed them to me for a small fee.. It was worth every penny!! maybe find someone near you.

Thanks for all your suggestions! I found a WalMart in my town that will print them for $5. I've never done a cake before with an edible image. Is it hard to get the images on just right? I'll be sure and post a pic when I'm finished!

I live in Florida ... recently I contacted my local supermarket publix and they said that they would do the edible image for me .... there is also a local bakery suppy that will do them for us down here ... have you checked on the internet to see if anyone provides that service?

You may want to PM MrsMissey. She does edible images all the time and I'm sure would give you great advice!
