I have been asked to make a cake for my sil's birthday next saturday. My bil wants a cake that resembles Bon Jovi's latest CD "Have a nice day". Fine, should be no problem. Question is I'm not sure how big to do it. He said 15 people aprx. Wilton's site says a 2 layer 8" square would feed 30!! I can't believe that. I have a 12" square that I was thinking I could use as a torted single layer and then put a carved round on top to add some dimension, but I think this might be too much cake.

What would you do?

Wilton's servings are very small.... the 8" double layer round should feed 12-15 people. I think with a 12" would be a bit more than you'd need, but I'd go with that... I always go for more than too little. Good luck and let us know how it turns out icon_smile.gif
