I notice occasionaly that some of you use the prettiest foils on your cake boards and I always wonder where you find them. Are they cake board foils, or are you using the stuff they sell in the floral dept? If there's a website that sells pretty foils for cake boards please share. : )

There is a cake decorating store near me that has some really pretty ones but I have also used wrapping paper ... I just put some clear contact paper over it.

I find alot of my papers at the dollar stores and Thrift Stores. I cover them with clear contact paper.

Someone may be able to answer better than me but I don't believe the foil papers for floral are considered food safe.

I have seen pretty floral paper at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I also like to use gift wrap and then cover with clear contact paper. It works great!

Great idea. Seems so obvious, but I'd never thought of it. icon_smile.gif

They aren't, but I swear I've seen photos on sites that look they've used them. I could be wrong though! icon_smile.gif

Thanks, these look like those I was looking for. Appreciate the link. Have you purchased from this online store before?

I have purchased things from cakedeco before. I too use wrapping paper, even the funny paper-and I cover with clear contact paper. But I do use the foil too-depends on the situation.
