My mother bought me a Kitchenaid Classic Plus for Christmas.......Is it a good one or should I upgrade? It is still in the box but I am dying to open it. It is quite a jump up money wise to upgrade. They are $299 around here for the Artesian.

I am not sure about the Classic Plus. But I do know that Kitchen Aid has never made a bad mixer!

Congratulations!! You are going to love it.

Mine has a handle.... thank goodness! I don't know what I would do without my handle. I think you can buy the bowls seperatly. That may save you some money.

mjones17,

Congratulations on your getting a KA.

My mother brought me the Artisan a year ago and it is great...I still use that also.

This summer, Hecht's was having a very good sale on the PRO600 for $279 with extra bowl...so I brought it and have not regretted it.

If you can, the up-grade would be great...they are having rebates on KA now.

I got a classic in November as a gift and it is the first one I have ever owned. But I just loved it ....A bowl with a handle would have been nice but it is no problem not having one.
