.......and how hard was it. How long did it take to dry? Was it hard to assemble and what did you use a glue to put it together with? Was it hard to transfer to the cake and how do you know exactly how big to make it?

I have so many questions and am very excited, anxious, restless about doing this. I need one by Saturday at Noon.

Oh gee..........I did it in my wilton class, and the kit provided a pattern. We enhanced the fondant with gumpaste powder I believe. You might check out the wilton site~ I'll bet it's on there somewhere. The dry time was a few hours....glued the parts together with royal icing I think. It was easy to transfer onto the cake. Wish I were more help~ good luck.

I have been looking a all the bows on cake in the gallery.

How wide would you recommend cutting the strips?

here is a step-by-step article on how to make a fondant loop bow

I believe the standard is a 1 inch strip, however that really all depends on the look you are going for. You can really use your imagination here and make it wider or thinner based on what you think will look best.
