I wanted to share something a friend of mine suggested for bubbles in royal icing.

She says she saw a pastry chef on Food Network challenge put a neck massager on vibrate on the table next to their bowl of chocolate to take out the bubbles. Makes me wonder if it would work on a bowl of RI? I don't own a massager...so anyone who wants to try it out please let me know if it works!

I really hate those bubbles!

I saw that too! I think that guy ended up winning that challenge. Usually just tapping the cookie once or twice will bring up the bubbles and then just pop them with the icing tip. It will settle back down and level out just fine.

I knew about the vibrating thing from working as a bench jeweler in a shop that did castings as well. We had to debubble the investment mix when making a mold.
