I found out last night at work that I can no longer have caffeine icon_cry.gif when I ran my own EKG and took it down to the Emergency Department of the hospital I work in. However, I was wanting to make a cake with Chocolate Buttercream Icing. Is there a recipe that is caffeine free?

Thanks

don't know about chocolate but carob has a similar taste to chocolate and is caffeine free. You could probably get carob powder or carob bars at the local health food store.

You only add a few ounces of melted chocolate to make chocolate buttercream. Dispersed over an entire cake...I think the caffiene amount would be miniscule. Seems like it would be the equivalent of a sip of Pepsi.
