How do I determine the serving sizes for a stacked or tiered cake?...I would think that with each tier you add more servings to it but on some sites it seems that they don't. Wilton has the servings for a maybe one tier wedding cake but what happens when you place them together.
Thanks in advance,
Tilisha
OK, I think I'm missing something. I don't quite understand your question----if you have a 3 tiered cake 6-8-10 then you add the servings for each of those sized cakes. Is this what you're asking??
You mentioned the Wilton serving chart. Here's another one...

That's exactly what I was asking....and after I asked I figured it out. Thanks MamaFrogs for the earlene's site. Is that the full chart or do you have to pay for the rest....Also what are you guys charging per slice. I'm trying to figure out my price list and just wondering.
I ran across so many and they are all very different. I think it's because of the areas and skills but I really don't know how to charge and I'm trying to figure it out.
thanks

No her site is all free, great info all over the place.
Pricing your cakes is not so easy sometimes, and comparing them to others is not always the answer. Where are you located?? That has a lot to do with it too! I think the best advice is to check around with local bakeries in your area and base your prices off those. Not grocery stores, Walmart or Costco, but actual bakeries that make specialized cakes.
Good luck!
