i have got to say that this mmf recipe is great!!! my son and daughter tasted it and kept coming back asking for more! they said it melts in their mouth. my daughter was skeptical about me using it on her birthday cake this saturday, but now she's hooked...i am too!!
my 11 yr. old son said, "mom if you tell people about this, then that's all they're gonna ask for"!!
I'm really gonna have to try this stuff now!
Do you have to let it sit for a few hours or a day before rolling it out or can you use it right away?
Also, how hard does it get once on your cake?
the recipe said to let it sit overnight in the frig', but you can use it right away. it felt like i was kneading bread dough. that's how the consistency was. i haven't used it on a cake, but it seems like i shouldn't have any problems. i'm gonna be using it to make a bed cake, or should i call it a slumber party cake, just as soon as i can get some info and ideas on it.
Hi, Diane! I am so glad that you finally tried it! It is terrific, right. I just colored mine this morning. I made it last weekend and kept it in an airtight bag. It took the colors wonderfully and still tasted great! I can't wait until it is time to use it. I have about 2 weeks before the cake is due so I still have some time. But I swear by this stuff now. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Hi Diane, I posted an answer to your post in cake ideas. I bet you could place the marshmallow fondant really easily over twinkies.
Hope this helps!
do you have to keep it in the frig?
that's a cool idea! oh, but my daughter is allergic to the milk in twinkies.
I bet you could back a rectangle cake and cut them out as a shape of a twinkie and place them on the cake for the sleeping bag shape.
