I have made the loops for a gumpaste bow, however, my red is not red enough! Is there a way I can take my gel and "paint" it or can I add some gel to some luster dust? I don't have any red luster dust, so can I color that? I will hopefully be assembling it in the morning, so I will have to "fix" the color in the morning if there is a way.....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Christy
Do you have any liquid colours?? You could paint it red with a liquid colour.

I'd mix the color gel with some vodka, gin or everclear. There are also those that say you can mix it with lemon extract, but I've always had good results with vodka and everclear so I haven't tried it.

I find if I just paint on with the color gel it remains tacky/sticky. If I use the alcohol with it, it doesn't.
