Freezing Things?! I Need Your Comments!

I am wanting to make chocolate covered strawberries for christmas eve and christmas day..if i make them ahead of time can i freeze them? how would i cover them in the freezer??

Also, I am going to make no fail sugar cookies with royal icing for those two days, if i make them tomorrow...should i freeze them or will they be okay for 3 days at room temp??

Also, ice box pumpkin pies...will they be okay to make ahead of time?!?

Hah, i need help on my freezing skills!

No ... you cannot freeze strawberries (chocolate covered or not) ... they get soft and the texture changes (great for jams and sauces... no good for decorative berries!)

Cookies will be FINE for 3 days... probably for a week or more.

Not sure about the pie... I've never frozen a filled pie shell. You can freeze raw pastry shells just fine though (in the pie pan)...

well i wouldnt freeze the pie, but if i made it tomorrow and didnt eat it until sunday would it still be just as good?

And i used to work at Jamba Juice and we used all frozen fruits, so i thought maybe i could freeze them, but now i am remembering when they thawed out, they were all mushy!

I would dip the berries no more than a few hours before you need them ... and make sure they are washed and well dried before you start.

The berries will ooze some of their juice if it's too long (and any moisture on the berries when you start may make your chocolate seize)
