Hello everyone!
I have an extra white cake mix on hand, and feel like baking. I thought I'd substitute eggnog for the water in the recipe, but then I got to thinking, should I decrease the qty of eggs I add then?? This is how I always got myself into trouble on exams in school, over thinking simple things. Any opinions??? TIA!

I just made an eggnog cake the very same way and I didn't change anything but using eggnog in place of the milk/water mixture. It turned out pretty good. The only thing I would have added is more nutmeg and cinnamon. I only added a little and I think it would have been even better with a bit more! Enjoy! icon_smile.gif

THANK YOU SO MUCH DODIBUG!! icon_biggrin.gif I'm going to make the cake as soon as I get the little ones to bed in a bit. (I am counting the minutes 'til bedtime tonight...it's been a looooong day.)

icon_lol.gif I thought I was the only one who thinks "come on 7:30!" I love my little man but he wears me out sometimes! He's 14 months and has really taken off walking in the last 2 weeks! And I'm exhausted from it!!!
I forgot to mention-I think I would have used 1-1 1/2 tsp of each spice to really bring out the eggnog flavor. dh is an eggnog nut and he was the one who suggested more spice.
How it turns out great! And get some rest!!
