Hi, does anybody know where I can get this ?
i've seen it on TV, where they use it for Chocolate centerpieces.
It's like a spray can that contains cold air that makes the chocolate sets faster.
thank you...Merry Christmas....
Honestly, I think it's that stuff that u clean the keyboards with...that's what it looks like...it's just compressed cold air...
I don't know for sure, but it looks like the same stuff...
I think cakefairy's right. I believe it is that canned spray you would use to clean electronics with.
It is the same stuff. I don't know if you can use that or if they have certain ones for food. I have not bought any for that reason.
Computer cleaning air spray and chocolate/sugar freeze spray are not the same thing. If they were, it would give new meaning to the saying, "my computer FROZE up..."
Computer spray is air propelled by carbon dioxide and freeze spray is 100% Pure Tetrafluoroethene. Computer spray feels cold because it is air that is compressed when passed through a small opening. It is NOT verifiably food safe. If the piece is not to be eaten, you could use it as a cheap alternative to freeze spray. It may not work as quickly, or as well, but it would most likely eliminate a lot of "standing & holding" time.
You can buy freeze spray at Chef Rubber for $19.99/15 oz. can--chefrubber.com and search "freeze spray".
Pastry Chef also has it for $27.99/12 oz. can--

Hope this is helpful.

Good question.. I always wondered about that stuff..
BlakesCakes Thanks for that info!! LOL
my computer FROZE up.. LOL
Yes, it is the stuff you spray out keyboards and electronics with. Compressed air. The can gets really cold after you spray.
Most of you probably know that if you inhale helium (that stuff that makes balloons float) your voice will go up and you will sound like Donald Duck.
The compressed air from the Air Dusters does just the opposite - it makes your voice go way, way down - like a baritone.
But don't do it - none of that stuff is good for you to breath.
I'm not saying I did it or anything - well, maybe once.
Computer cleaning air spray and chocolate/sugar freeze spray ARE NOT the same thing.
Computer cleaning spray is merely compressed air propelled by carbon dioxide. True freeze spray for confectionary use is a completely different chemical.
Please refer to my above post.
Thanks!

yeah, I'm afraid that if you use "computer spray" you are just doing it to be cheap. As pointed out, if it's not to be eaten, then MAYBE it's ok, but don't skimp on this folks. The quality of your work and your reputation can be at stake here.
